Phang Nga Bay in Krabi, Thailand, lies between the island of Phuket and the west coast of mainland Thailand.  Most of the bay and its spectacular limestone islands are protected by the National Parks dept of Thailand, which forbids any development.  They do however allow the bay's original inhabitants to live on an impressive network of both stilted and floating buildings which extend from a single island.
